Summary
Johnny collapses into Price's chair, his free hand running through his mohawk. "I-" he cuts himself off, unsure what to say. The way his mother's voice cracks breaks his heart more than the news.
"Come home," she pleads.
"Of course, Ma," he says quickly. He doesn't care what Price or anyone else is going to say - he'll sneak off base if that's what he has to do. "When's the funeral?"
"Next week."
"I'll be there," he promises.
Or
Soap gets an unexpected phone call and it's Ghost's turn to help the Sergeant. Very few things go right.

Summary
Ghost accepted there was no room for others in his heart after that fateful Christmas Eve, content living the rest of his life as a the deadliest pawn in the British military. And then he's put on the 141 and expected to lead with Soap MacTavish, a Scot with a dangerous combination of good looks and charm that's gotten him almost everything he's ever wanted. Ghost finds himself grappling with feelings he thought he'd abandoned long ago as he and the Sergeant clean up America's mess.
(Title taken from an amazing - and mildly fitting - Scary Kids Scaring Kids song.)

Summary
"And I can't convince you to go to Medical?" Price asks around his cigar.
"No, sir."
"Figured as much," Price sighs. "Well, I guess Soap can help you until it heals." The captain pushes through the two men, continuing on his way down the hall.
Johnny sputters and Ghost turns bright red under the mask. Both men want to object, but are equally interested in seeing how this plays out.
Ghost instinctively glares at Johnny out of his peripheral, more than happy to do things on his own.
Or
Ghost ends up burning his hand pretty badly and Soap help his lieutenant while it heals. But Soap ends up helping Ghost in more ways than one.
