Summary

Summary
Lucius Malfoy, only days after his graduation from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, has been attempting to break his engagement with Narcissa Black. Knowing that it is his familial duty to follow in his father’s footsteps, Lucius has to take the Dark Mark, becoming a loyal follower to the Dark Lord’s new regime. When it becomes too complicated to break the betrothal, now years in the making, he acquiesces. Perhaps it won’t be so bad marrying the love of his life, even if she will, unfortunately, be subject to the same dark horrors Lucius knows will befall the future of the Malfoy line in the hands of the Dark Lord. But when Narcissa finds out about his attempts to end their engagement, she can’t be bothered to listen to his paltry explanations. Lucius must now deal with winning back the affections of his sour witch, all while navigating his recent thrust into the role of loyal Death Eater.
