Jamaica. What I would give that we could stay in that little bubble of safety we had created. Cooking, singing, dancing, we had it all. The trauma was there, of course. We could hear each other screaming in the middle of the night. No one had time to start processing anything. But in that little bubble, we were safe. Eventually, though, every bubble has to pop.

Summary

Summary
Being soulmates doesn’t mean anything, not really. You still need to get to know someone, understand them, and choose whether or not you want something more.
Of course, it does mean you won’t ever see color until you meet that special someone. You figured you got shafted, having a soulmate out there somewhere. Why couldn’t you just live a normal life and see the world how it was meant to be?
