Summary
Zhongli, once a foreign child left at Snezhnayan borders, rose through hatred and war to become the King’s most trusted soldier—and now, Prince Tartaglia’s sworn protector.
This is the closest he can be to him. In this role, he can not only protect him, but shower his prince in the affection he’d always thought he deserved and had never received. When the king had assigned a whole party of guards to watch over him because ‘he wouldn’t yet be able to defend himself’, the prince had sneered and pointed right at Zhongli, “If you insist I have someone tailing me where ever I go, then I’ll have him.”The King had been stunned into silence before laughing, “I think not, son. The Captain of the Royal Guard? Ha!”
The whole crowd of people had only then laughed with their King before Zhongli had faced his prince and said, “I accept, your highness.”
