“Huh?” Percy blinks, then looks down at his hand, apparently having forgotten what he was holding. “Uh, I’m pretty sure it’s a daisy. It’s not really for anything, I guess. It’s just pretty.” Annabeth just keeps carefully studying it, so he starts to lower his hand, expression gentle and understanding. “You don’t have to take it if–”
“No!” Annabeth snaps, her hand darting out to grab the stem before it can retreat any farther. She focuses very hard on not squeezing it tight enough to bruise the delicate thing. “You said you got it for me, so it’s mine now.”

Percy gives Annabeth a lot of flowers, even before they let it mean anything. As it turns out, he was always giving her more than just pretty things.

Forty minutes into her book signing, Pepper’s hand is cramping up. Seeing herself perfunctorily smiling back at her from cover after cover after cover, is getting at her. It isn’t often that she wishes for someone to interrupt and insist on a photo. Or for one of these large, heavy bookcases to topple over and fall on top of her.
The next woman who shuffles up to her table, book clutched in her arms, might just be her selfie-saving-grace. She certainly has the wild-eyed look of starstruck-ness. Pepper smiles and holds out a hand to take the book from her.
The woman doesn’t relinquish it. “Ms. Stark,” she murmurs in a low voice. “My nephew Peter ran away. And I need the Avengers to find him.”

Summary
Tony Stark may have been religious about using protection through the years. Unfortunately condoms do break, also failure rates go up when drunk or otherwise intoxicated. This means well, it was rather inevitable.
Daisy was not expecting three hits when she ran her DNA against the SHIELD database. Which complicated feelings on the whole issue or not, well her apparent baby brother just started stopping crime in his pajamas. So if she takes a month, she's on the run from SHIELD post Hive anyways, and helps the kid out it doesn't have to mean anything. Really, she's completely going to be able to leave without regrets. Totally. And if she ends up looping in their apparent older sister, it's for Peter.
