Summary
Pugsley: kisses his best friend
Eugene: *windows shutdown noise*
Pugsley: ...so that's a no?
Eugene: *has already left the state*What follows is a 9K words of two idiots who are desperately in love with each other but have the combined emotional intelligence of a potato.
Featuring: inappropriate comments about medieval torture devices, a drunk game of Victorian murder mystery, and enough sexual tension to power a small city.
This is the "first kiss" moment that I referenced in "Bug Off, We're Getting Married." The moment that haunts them. The moment they have to eventually work through to get to the wedding. But that's not this fic. This fic is pure, uncut angst with no resolution. This is the "it gets worse before it gets better" part. This is the emotional equivalent of stepping on a Lego in the dark. You've been warned.

my advice is RUIN THE FRIENDSHIP if you can handle:
A. The consequences of ruining the friendship
B. The consequences of not ruining the friendship
OR
They were never friends, more begrudging acquaintances who were forced into the same space, but Eugene felt the weight of regret heavier than he felt the weight of the words that marked home in his mouth.
OR
What if, instead of the gala, the Rave'N happened— Ruin the friendship style?
