That’s all his shaking body registers lying here. The cold and an ache so deep he fears it will never, could never, detach from his soul again. It is gripping him, fusing more and more to his core, his stomach; expanding and expanding until the very last part of his body is screaming and screaming at him for release.
For him to make it stop aching.
