"Again with the small talk. Spy’s noticed that Sniper’s been attempting that more and more since their pre-dinner encounter the week before. A short chat about the weather between rounds, a comment about their fellow mercenaries during a smoke break, a small 'how ya doin’, mate' when passing him in the halls. It’s strange, uncharacteristic, and such a stark change from their usual peaceful silences that if Spy were a different man he’d be concerned. As it is, he simply hums as a sign for Sniper to continue, deciding to use this as an opportunity to finish his lunch."

Scar grins. 'What's the point in worrying over anything when I have you around?'"

"'You're aware you're breaking the law, correct?' Ren questions, narrowing his eyes. He's slightly taller than Scar when he's on his throne like this, which gives him the advantage of being able to look down upon him. An intimidation tactic he knows doesn't work with the man standing before him.
'Am I?' Scar asks, false surprise blatant in his delivery. 'Oh, silly me, I completely forgot about the whole Gigapies rule. Must have slipped my mind.'"
Ren calls Scar in for a discussion about the Gigapies display in the Cookie Empire.

He feels sick."
Grian has a nightmare about killing Scar in Third Life. He runs to Scar, needing reassurance.

Grian schedules a meeting with the mayor after days of being M.I.A. He's acting different than Scar's used to.

"The moons ever increasing size has come with a number of ill effects: Gravity fluctuation, floating blocks, earthquakes, and, most surprisingly, fog.
All of these things make building incredibly difficult, but the fog is probably the most annoying, especially when navigating darker areas of the server. Darker areas like Grian’s alley, which Grian is currently trapped in."
Grian is lost in the fog. It's a good thing moth hybrids have incredible night vision.

Nothing really jumps out to him at first, just your typical collection of assorted Halloween treats, but then he sees it. A small snack-sized pack of gummy bears just barely visible under the sea of chocolate bars. The jackpot."
Bdubs finds a free candy bowl outside the monolith. It's totally tapped, but when has that ever stopped him?

Whether it was more general like the world around them and how it works, or something more specific like the different habits the other hermits have. It’s not necessarily a bad habit to have. It pays to be aware of all of these things, especially when they can aid him in his efforts to push the boundaries of the world’s code to their absolute limits.
However, lately his observations have been concentrated on a certain individual."

All things that kept them incredibly busy. Things that left them worn out.
It was all worth it, though, when they got to snuggle like this. Once the responsibilities settle down and they finally get a moment to themselves; to be alone together without constant interruptions by the citizens they were governing."
