Summary
Be a gamedev, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.
The lines of code glaring him in the face certainly don’t feel very fun. He’s barely gotten any sleep; he hasn’t had coffee; and it’s twenty five degrees of stupid Celsius outside. As much as Crowley likes the scorching heat, he doesn’t appreciate it nearly as much while wearing a thick jumper.
He can’t take it off, though. Not today. Not after the night he’s had.
He needs to find Aziraphale. Eden’s been burning a hole in his bag and his brain and it’s about time he confronted its author.
Crowley – just Crowley – is a programmer at a video games studio, coasting from project to project with a bare minimum of emotional investment. He gets a good paycheck, his coworkers leave him alone, and, well, the misgendering really doesn’t bother him that much. So what if he’s tired and constantly on the verge of changing his job on a whim– he’s fine. Really.
But then along comes Aziraphale, fantasy author, consulting writer and, worst of all, a kind-hearted bastard who still sees the good in people.
So maybe there is a point to it all. And maybe it’s enough to change one person’s life.

Summary
“Never done something like this,” he admits. “Our families– we never could.”
It’s not much of an explanation, but she seems to understand regardless. She puts a hand on his shoulder and squeezes. He forces himself not to flinch from it. “I get it,” she says. “My girlfriend’s family was the same. It was fucking tough, hiding all the time. I think I might have cried, first time we held hands in public.”
Crowley turns to take proper stock of her then - she seems younger than him, by at least ten years, which makes him feel a bit silly about the whole thing. He crosses his arms. “Was?”
“She cut contact with them after a while.” The queue moves forward while she speaks. “Even if she hadn’t, though… it’s worth it, isn’t it?”

Summary
In a universe much like our own, a man not dissimilar from an angel we know has just moved into a new flat… And then the image in front of our eyes blurs. Lines branching. We follow another one like a spark of electricity passing through the power lines. We hear silence; we hear the echoes of infinity — so many of them they become white noise. Our next stop is just one hop over, down the street but a universe away.
The next scenes come to us in flashes, images overlaying images overlaying images. Some things stay the same – some things change. The faces remain each other’s mirrors time after time.
For a while, it’s impossible to make out the exact words of the many voices, similar and different, across the different planes of existence. Their lives, their experiences, clash into one another to create a cacophony of sound.
Wait long enough, though, and eventually, you will hear them all find a common melody, the same refrain, no matter the world or the circumstances.

"I'm sure you could carry me out of here," he said idly, his gaze flickering between the ribbon and Aziraphale.
"You are light as a feather," Aziraphale agreed. He dragged the tip of the handle from Crowley's chin over to his cheek and tapped it there gently. The ribbon moved along, brushing against Crowley's jaw. "It's a fascinating apparatus, isn't it?"
"Apparatus, angel, really."
"That's what's it called, is it not?" Aziraphale pointed out. "How strong do you think this fabric is?"
"Strong enough…" Crowley said slowly, eyeing the metal still pressed to his skin. "What are you planning?" As though he hadn't been tempting Aziraphale into it himself.
In other words, an empty gym lends itself perfectly for some creative uses of a gymnastics ribbon.

Summary
"Darling, it's getting late. Are you still working?"
Anthony, lit only by the moonlight and the dim glow of his laptop screen, continues to type away for a few more seconds. Asa waits, hovering in the doorway. Lately, he's had to get used to this sight — his husband, always click-clacking away, stubbornly refusing to do anything else but keep working on what will, eventually, become his second book, for now tentatively titled Astrophysics is (Really) For Everyone.
Asa tries to be supportive. Asa is also growing increasingly worried.

Summary
It is thirty-six point seven degrees Celsius and climbing, and Aziraphale and Crowley have lived together for five years, and everything is completely fine.
(It is not fine.)
Crowley stops wearing shirts. Aziraphale stops coping. They drag a mattress onto the balcony, eat strawberries in the dark, and somewhere around two in the morning, under a London sky that is too warm and too honest, five years of extremely careful not-saying-it finally runs out of road.

Summary
There is a new universe, one without angels or demons or Satan or God. But this is a universe full of choices and free will, and Jesus thinks there are two other souls who should get to have a real choice, too.
Or: Aziraphale and Crowley learn what it is to be human, one lifetime at a time. Eventually, they’ll need to talk, about ‘us’ and love and what comes after the dust of this new universe has settled.

BREAKING: SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY IN DISARRAY AS NEWCOMER UPENDS DOZENS OF ACCEPTED THEORIES
Up and coming British astrophysicist Dr. Anthony J. Crowley has rocked the science world this week with his research that proves many previously-accepted scientific theories about dark matter and the nature of our universe completely wrong. Dubbed the ‘Devil’s Theory,’ Crowley’s research has made the astrophysicist a star practically overnight, and one of the most sought-after scientists in the country.“There’s so much you humans don’t understand about the universe, it’s not my fault that I do,” he said in a statement to BBC reporter Jane Smith. “Just you wait!”
[Crowley can't keep his mouth shut about the stars, and accidentally becomes a famous scientist. Based on this!]
