Summary
A not-insignificant part of his heart yearns to shake Akira awake, perhaps to encourage an encore of last night’s events or perhaps just to see if the light catches in his eyes the same way it illuminates the dust motes floating in the air between them. The stronger, more persistent fear of rejection that he can’t quite ignore—even after Akira finally admitted just how badly Goro is wanted—tells him not to bother. Most strangely, a part of him that still feels unfamiliar, and which is even more rarely listened to, focuses on just how relaxed Akira looks and says let him rest. It’s easiest to lean into those impulses, and so he pulls himself from Akira’s bed and into his bathroom to take a well-needed shower.

Summary
He fishes an Alert Capsule out of his endlessly deep pockets, inspecting it between two fingers before deciding it’s sufficient. It’s a small oblong object, not dissimilar to an ammonia inhalant. He crushes the middle of the capsule with his thumb and forefinger, color flooding the previously white surface, quickly maneuvering his hand between the pointed beaks of Crow’s helmet and placing it under his nose.
Crow jerks back as if he’d been shot, flinching away from the offending ethanol-alcoholic scent, but has no other reaction.
Okaaay…
That… usually works.
The return to the Laboratory on January 9th in search of rescuing Sumire goes a bit awry after an encounter with a Fafnir guarding the auditorium forces Akira and Goro to utilize their team attack.
The team attack in which Goro casts his special mental-shutdown-inducing spell on himself.
Akira's not sure what he expected with that one, in all honesty.
