The Kardasi used in this series is primarily Kardasi'Uq'torrya, "the Kardasi of Torr Sector", usually referred to by the Federaji as "service-class Kardasi". Some words are from the closely-related dialect Kardassi'Uq'lakariya, "the Kardassi of Lakari'or".
