“Look at you in your uniform,” Sam chuckled, running his fingers over Bucky’s collar. “So handsome.”
“You think so?,” Bucky replied, smirking. “Seems like I’m not the only guy in here wearing it.”
“Maybe not,” Sam shrugged, moving his fingers to undo the buttons of Bucky’s shirt. “But you definitely look the best.”

Spell out some letters.
“I want,” Sam rumbled, hearing the hitch in Bucky’s breath before Sam pulled him in for a deep, long kiss.
Bucky looked just as hazy as Sam felt now.
“I want everything,” whispered Sam, because he hadn’t really expressed this out loud to Bucky before.
“One thing at a time,” Bucky blurted, “I’m a super soldier, not a three-dick wonder.”
Which.
Sam lost it a bit. Bucky joined in Sam’s laughter as he collapsed heavily on top of Sam. Sam groaned at the sudden weight, but he didn’t let Bucky move away when Bucky tried to; Sam wrapped his arms and legs around him, kept Bucky on him.
Sam liked the weight.
“That’s a way to phrase it,” giggled Sam.

Summary
Despite what many may say, scenting is the most important aspect among the different subgenders. Everything else, from mating bites to knotting, feeds back into the ability to smell and scent others. Omegas will tend to have mild to strong scents, but in return, they also have stronger, more sensitive noses than the other subgenders. Alphas have the inverse, strong scents and somewhat weak noses. Betas, betas have both negatives. The idea is that an omega will find the perfect mate, preferably an alpha, with their nose, and the alpha's weak nose will be attuned to only them. It’s not all that researched, for a variety of reasons, but all this to say, an alpha should not have their nose attuned to a beta’s scent.
Bucky Barnes, an alpha, has once again broken these rules.

Sam knows that regardless of your subgender, the aftermath of traumatic events can kill your libido and, in turn, your ability to experience heats or ruts, or even arousal in general.
Bucky Barnes does not have that issue. At least, not anymore.
