“Oh, no, you definitely don’t want to do that,” Kara said, picking up a paper cup and dumping a teabag in it.
The woman next to her looked up, surprise etched onto her pale, drawn face. “Excuse me?” she rasped.
Kara nodded at the coffee pot the woman had picked up and wrinkled her nose. “You’d get better coffee at the 7-Eleven across the street and that’s saying something. I’d stick with tea.”
“Oh. Oh … okay.”
“First time?” Kara asked, glancing sideways at the woman.
She was striking, her medium height made a fraction taller by her heels, the tailored cut of her clothes precise, her makeup perfect and her dark hair long and sleek. In her scrubs and denim jacket, bare-faced and dishevelled, Kara felt positively inadequate. And yet, there was the same hollowed out look to the newcomer's face, a sadness in her green eyes, a weary slump to her shoulders that was recognisable.
“Yes.”
Picking up a glazed donut, Kara took a bite and gave her a strained smile. “I’d say it’s good to have you here but … well, obviously not.”

Summary
Lena Luthor has returned to Metropolis and finds things just as bad as when she left three months before. Andrea is still angry about their break up and her brother -the most hated man everywhere- has his trial coming up in a few months. A trial she will have to give evidence at. Lena would like nothing more than to disappear until it’s all over. But then she accidentally gets the attention of Kara Danvers, and she decides maybe the next few months might not be so awful.
Kara is shocked when she sees the pianist in the video and even more so when she gets a reply. It’s no surprise to her when she quickly finds herself falling for more than just Lena’s musical talents. If only her friends and everyone else could see that Lena is nothing like her brother, and if only Lena could see she is more than just what her talent can offer the world.

Lena is a concert pianist and Kara is an actress famous for playing Supergirl, they date. There is much fluff.

However, she’s yet to clinch the World Driver’s championship, falling short by a mere few points each time. Each time has been out of her hands, whether it was her car failing or the men in the sport trying to run her off the track, or getting completely screwed out of the championship, the title of Champion of the World continues to elude her.
Left without a drive, Kara thinks her career in Formula 1 is over. But when offered a drive by someone most unexpected, she thinks she may have another shot at achieving her dream of becoming Champion of the World. Perhaps, she find so much more than that along the way.

“I think we’re alone now,” Kara sings quietly, her voice low and beautiful as it winds around Lena, making her breath catch in her throat. “There doesn’t seem to be anyone around. I think we’re alone now, the beating of our hearts is the only sound.”
Lena hadn’t particularly liked the song when she had first heard it, thinking it was just another over-produced piece of ‘80s bubblegum-pop. But as Kara’s low voice croons the simple words in the still of the night, her fingertips brushing over Lena’s hip and her breath warm against her shoulder, Lena finds herself reconsidering her stance.
She just might have a new favorite song.

“Who’s there?” the voice called out, firm and courageous. “Name yourself or I’ll shoot.”
Lena was fading from consciousness, her lips moving soundlessly, and she barely had the energy to straighten in the saddle before the bolt sliding home sounded. And for the second time that day, Lena was shot, the bullet grazing the side of her neck and unseating her as pain blossomed and she finally succumbed to the darkness for good.

"Take me home, Ms. Luthor," Kara wiggled her brows suggestively and— oh Rao why on earth did she do that?! Her cheeks flushed as soon as her words registered. She was definitely blaming... whatever that was on the fact that she got hit on the head a few hours prior. "Er, yeah... let's go home," she tried to amend but Lena was already laughing lightly, small smile on her face as her green eyes were filled with affection.
Lena reached out a hand and Kara slipped off the bed to take it, enjoying the way the warmth of her palm bled through to her own and making its home in her heart.
"Come on then, Supergirl."

Summary
Kara Danvers, when she took her glasses off and wore her hair down, had a striking resemblance to National City's own superhero, Supergirl. So much so, that she would regularly impersonate the hero to draw crowds for local businesses and charities at their events.
When Supergirl is severely injured during a fight, Kara is asked by the DEO to step in and pretend to be Supergirl on a much larger stage than she's used to.
Thinking she can handle a few weeks of being in the spotlight, she agrees. Being Supergirl turns out to be a lot harder than she imagined, especially when she doesn't actually have any superpowers. On top of that, she has to fool a brilliant wife, Lena Luthor, who absolutely hates Supergirl. Developing a crush on her look-alike's estranged wife certainly wasn't making it any less complicated.
Kind of a Dave (90s movie) AU? Instead of pretending to be the president, Kara is pretending to be Supergirl.
(Supergirl and Kara are two different people.)
