Summary
Crossover between the worlds of "Ascendance of a Bookworm" and "Apothecary Diaries". Once an archnoble of Yurgenschmidt, Rozemyne has joined the ranks of the consorts in the rear palace of the kingdom of Li to deepen relationships between both countries.
NOTE: Chapters that occur in the past are currently in the process of being rewritten; they will be moved to a separate fic once I'm finished.
Warnings:
- Maomao's POV will reference unpleasant things such as non-consensual sexual intercourse, child abuse, sexual abuse, pregnancy, symptoms of poisoning (and that includes things like vomit and excretion). There will be warnings on a per chapter basis; please let me know if any specific chapter needs further warnings.
- This fic doesn't focus on romance (especially between the main characters), so don't expect Fermai or Jinmao (or Rikumao, or Lestimyne, or whatever ship you can think of)- Due to the author's lack of knowledge in certain fields, some info about TCM and others may be wrong. Feel free to point them out, but some plot points can't be changed.

Maomao can't help but realise the similarities to the medical office today to just over a year ago, when the Emperor needed surgery. Something that sends waves of guilt through out all those close to the imperial family. Those who feel they are acting unfairly, coveting and clinging to things they shouldn't, guilt in defiance and deference in equal measure.
All of it, laying beneath sparkling smiles and glittering jewels.
