Kalliope (OC) and Astarion (BG3)

  1. Summary

A loose retelling of the plot of Baldur’s Gate 3 as experienced by my female Durge, Kalliope. Kalliope is a “Way of the Shadows” tiefling monk. She doesn’t understand these bloodthirsty desires or thoughts, but sees their use in battle. Her monastic teachings are very contradictory to this seductive, dark muse in her mind that urges her to “KILL-MAIM-END!”

She struggles with her urges and what it means about who she is as a person. Is she a monster? Can she do better? Unexpected kinship blossoms between Astarion and Kalliope as they both struggle with their darkened histories, and learn to love themselves — and maybe one another — in this series.

    Summary

She is dangerous. The why changes nothing. All that matters to him is that she is on his side, and he means to make sure of that through any means at his disposal.

He can sleep with one eye open for all eternity, if it means he can make his chance at freedom count.

    Summary

It's been five years since Moss became a mind flayer and defeated the Absolute, and they've settled into a comfortable routine of keeping Baldur's Gate safe from the shadows with the Emperor. Comfortable enough that their combined itch to go adventuring aboard The Wandering Mind can no longer be ignored.
But there are things that must be taken care of before they can do any traveling. Loose ends to tie up, a missing Shield of Silvam to retrieve, and - and that little voice in the back of their brain stem, why does it sound so familiar?

A road boat trip story about identity, duality, and flotsam that refuses to sink. Both squids have some growth to do.
Established post-game Emps/illithid genderless Tav, second-person POV via Tav, NOT a reader/self-insert/blank slate Tav story.

    Summary

Sauceman Chorizo doesn’t know how to bake.
The last rat of Lyrthindor can remember little else but baking.

It’s Baldur’s Gate Ratatouille. Hijinks ensue.

“So how did you end up in my kitchen, little rat?”

The rat looked into the distance. “Some remember turning away from the sun. This one remembers fondant and buttercream. We were one. We were many. Now we are one, but fewer. Then the cat chased us here.”

Sauceman took that in, then nodded. “Alright then.”

    Summary

If the desperation in his eyes and the heartbreak on his face hadn’t already been enough to break you, the tremble in his voice would have done it. And even without all that, how could you ever say no to this man? He who stood beside you as you discovered your lost self. He who remained beside you when you learned your cursed history. He who bound the knots of your restraints and stroked your hair through the night, even as you writhed and fought to end his life. He helped you gain your freedom from the damnation of your birth. How could you possibly deny helping him with his own freedom?

But, says a voice in your head, seven thousand souls.

    ----

A story in which we discover just how damned an ascended vampire can be, and just how far you will go to save the elf you loved.
