Remus’s head whips over to her, taking in the mirth in her gaze and the quirk of her lips. He swallows nervously at the unbelievably wild turn the conversation has taken. “Uh,” he mutters, feeling a flush spread over his cheeks and down his neck. “Uh, I suppose in sort of a—” he gestures vaguely, and his eyes dart from Mary to Lily to Alice to Marlene and back again to Mary, “roundabout way…” he trails off, feeling as though he’s been led straight into the lion’s den.

Summary
The result of a writing challenge my best friend and I made up. We number five different ships and then pull up a prompt list or —if the ship has a playlist we've made for it — a playlist, and we use a number generator to give us a ship and a prompt or a song. We then set an hour on a clock and try to create a story that incorporates the prompt or a line from the song into it.
