His warning falls on deaf ears as Fret ignores him, barreling on ahead anyway and leaning back into Rindo's space.
"Rindude..."

Dark Pit growls, and his wings flap indignantly at her.
"Shut up," he seethes, even as Phosphora's steady voltage makes him want to squirm and huddle up close to her at the same time. He hates how comforting her touch is even though he's on the verge of jumping seven feet in the air. It would be so easy to melt and let her burn her fingerprints into his skin, but he takes a shaky breath in through his nose and holds his ground. He can't let her win this.

And, considering he kinda, y'know, needs that, he wraps up every single inquisitive thought and packs them away into a far corner of his mind. If Azure wants to open up, she will. But Hal isn't going to push her. Despite how little time they've spent together, it hasn't taken long for him to build a decent amount of respect for her. And, provided the feeling is mutual, he can't risk losing what small shred of dignity he still has in her eyes.
So he waits. But, again, it might not even matter. Who's to say the two of them will keep running into each other, anyway?

“But… you’re not Hikaru,” he said. Not-Hikaru opened his eyes, surprised to be seen as him and not as the vestige of Yoshiki’s best friend. “You’re you.”
Uncertainty joined Hikaru's features then, wedging into the space where their bodies had yet to converge. But when Yoshiki slid his hand to the nape of his neck, tangling in his hair, he melted into the touch. Hikaru blushed in uncharacteristic shyness, cheeks reddening to the point that any watermelon guts on his face would be lost to the eye.
Yoshiki could feel Hikaru’s breath quick and damp on his lips. “So maybe you’d like it like this instead,” he whispered as he closed the distance, melting into him too.
OR
Yoshiki teaches Hikaru how to kiss. Hikaru teaches Yoshiki how to touch him without imagining his Hikaru.
