“One day I’ll be king.” Billy makes the declaration when he is eight playing in the courtyard with Steve, both of them wielding sticks against one another pretending to be dueling knights.
“You aren’t in line to be king, you aren't a part of the royal family.” Steve points out as Billy easily deflects his stick when he brings it down, Billy actually practices with practice swords every day while Steve is confined to the library forced into his morning studies so out of the two of them he is the one that actually knows what he is doing.
Billy pretends to think on it, moving in and tapping Steve’s thigh lightly with his stick, always more careful when he plays with Steve than anyone else. It still makes Steve gasp and jump back, makes him try darting forward to strike but Billy dodges him and all he catches is air. “Guess I’ll just have to marry you then.”

The Run- a ceremony where all of age unclaimed Omegas are required, by law, to participate. Omegas will run through a forest, usually in wolf form, as Alphas chases them, looking to claim one for a mate.
If you complete the Run as an Omega by making it to the end without being claimed, you have the option to choose between a group of Elite Alphas or to not take a mate at all, going another year unclaimed.
George is well known as the Omega who had completed the Run for two years in a row. He has not chosen a mate yet.
He is who most Alphas want to claim.
Dream, an Alpha, hears of George and after seeing him before the ceremony, he piques an interest for George. He was definitely running this year.

During George's senior year his popularity suddenly skyrockets when he becomes a cheerleader, besides friendly smiles and waves down every hall nothing much changed.
George was already pretty known through the school as one of Dream's best friends, everyone knew not to mess with George unless they wanted to hear something from Dream and possibly Sapnap.
This changed when a transfer student started borderline harassing George. In the heat of the moment George told the bot that he could take him out on a date if he made the football team, fully believing that it would be practically impossible.
Well now George is stuck with either going on a date with the creep or pushing his pride aside and asking Dream for help.
