II bumped his shoulder against IV’s and leaned in to whisper cheekily in his ear. “You two have a good night then?”
IV turned to give II a wicked grin. “Don’t worry love, we can tell you all about it later on. We have all day, after all.”
“Well III better be ready to make it up to me regardless; I had plans with you.”
That just made IV’s grin turn even smarmier, if that were possible. “Oh don’t worry, he has plans for you too.”
II sees the marks IV left on III the night before, and III and IV tell the others what they got up to. II finds himself in a headspace he doesn't often see, and the others turn their worship to him for the day. III does his best to follow through on his plans with II that night, and II ensures III makes it up to him for the night before.

Bitter shame blooms on III's tongue, flooding his throat and pooling in his lungs. Summary
Vessel is the Crown Prince.
II is his royal advisor.
III is a Prince from the neighboring kingdom.
They've been friends since childhood.
They met IV when Vessel was being crowned. He's a tradesmen and was passing through during the Crowning celebrations and decided to stay. But he couldn't leave without getting tangled up with the others, and continued to send letters to the others after he left.
Five years after Vessel has been the Crowned Prince, it's his birthday, and II wanted to gather a surprise for his King.
Now IV is back, and staying for a while, and is dreadfully pining for all three of them. He has a month before he has to get back on the road, how is he supposed to handle being in such close quarters with all of them?
