Summary
The Last Emperor of Astandalas asked for peace. Cliopher Mdang travelled half way round the world of Zunidh to broker a ceasefire for him.
He may have, just slightly, exceeded his remit.

Rial froze. The tea slopped out of the cup he had just lifted from its saucer, no doubt doing terrible things to the sleeve of his silk robe. “Sayo Mdang wants what?”
“He wants you,” said Loveless.

Summary
The Duchy of Borogravia is, as a nation, on death's doorstep. The duchess has been in seclusion so long no one is certain if she's alive. Their god, Nuggan, seems to have gone utterly mad. The various neighbours they're constantly at war with have brought in new allies to finally break their army. And the crops have been failing.
At this point it's so bad their only hope is likely necromancy.
Can the young nun Harrow save the fate of a whole country with just her fellow sister of Nuggan Gideon and the exceptionally misfit 10th Infantry Regiment on her side?
(And will Gideon every realise most of the 10th are cross dressing women?)Bookmarked by stormscrait

Summary
Against the dark, Vetinari saw the Commander’s outline writhe in place, and the red symbol partially disappeared as Vimes obscured its glow beneath his hand.
“Sir—” Vimes spoke through gritted teeth, though his voice was returned to normal, “—please stop baiting the godsdamned thing!”
“I was only making conversation,” Vetinari replied.

Summary
Vimes scowled. Vetinari noticed and continued, mildly, “I would remind you, Vimes, that we have agreed it is best that this remains a clandestine affair, given the situation.”
“I know.”
“A fact that does make blackmail a possibility.”
“I know.”
“And yet, Commander, you are still attempting to disrobe me in a public area.”
“Attempting being the operative word there, sir. Could you give me a hand, do you think? This button's stuck.”
Vimes and Vetinari have been attempting to balance their secret relationship with the running of the city. But now it seems their secret is out, and as the people they care for are threatened, painful choices are needed.
Sequel to Balancing Act and Leverage, although can be read straight after Balancing Act if you want and will still make sense.
M rating is for smut in Chapter 1, the rest is Teen & Up.

Summary
Captain Sam Vimes is getting married...until he isn't.
Vetinari vaguely alludes to Having Feelings, and Vimes self destructs.
Spoilers for Men at Arms, although it diverges somewhere in the middle; this is essentially an exploration of what might happen if Vetinari realised he had feelings for Vimes in the run up to the wedding. There's angst, and Vimes whump, and miscommunication, and probably a million other tropes.

Summary
Vimes knows about stoker Blakes's identity and he cannot stop thinking about it. Vetinari is more than willing to give him more to think about.
"The room was horribly quiet which only allowed the memories of sounds on the train's steering deck to resonate in Vimes’s ears louder. Constable Visit told him some time ago about a man in the desert who could hear gods speak and had such a good memory that he never forgot a single detail and Vimes felt as if he temporarily borrowed this ability. He wanted more of those moments to remember. He took a deep breath.
“I know it was you.”
“So I gathered.”
Vimes glanced at his boss and noticed he was smiling."

“Oh, very good, my lord,” said Cliopher, and unconsciously looked up into the eyes of the Sun-on-Earth. He had known, everyone knew, that the Lord Emperor's gaze could blind. He had broken one of the great taboos.
In canon, the taboo against eye contact was gone. But what if it was only weakened?

My brother gave me that choice. He was everything I had ever hoped for in a husband, everything I had ever dreamed of in a brother, everything one could desire in an Emperor.
I could only stammer, again, that it was his choice, that I was dutiful. I did not know how to say _no_, it was not something anyone had deemed necessary to teach me.

Rhodin sipped his coffee. “Are us roommates cramping your style?”
“No,” Conju demurred, in a way which clearly meant yes. “I value you all deeply and am satisfied with a . . . laissez-faire . . . living situation in our retirement.”
Ludvic stirred his coffee. Rhodin peeled a banana in a desultory way. They waited.
Conju sighed. “It’s just–“ Ludvic and Rhodin leaned forward as Conju continued, “– why does he have to be underfoot all the time? Overnight?! I came down for a drink last week and nearly broke my neck tripping over a middle-aged aristocrat. It’s undignified.”

Summary
The Navy ship sailed into Gorjo City harbour on a lovely Monday afternoon. Everyone still remembered Aurelius Magnus coming to ask Elonoa'a to show him the way to Colhélhé. So even if they had little success, nobody resented the Navy trying to recruit. It was good to be remembered as seafarers.
It wasn't until dusk that rumours started flowing down from the Palace. And not in the chattering of children, or the smirks of young men. In the dark looks shared by the elders, and the whispers of servants to trusted messengers.
The Navy is to collect a special tithe. For the ascension of the new Emperor, Shallyr.
