Summary
There's times, where words refuse to take shape in his mouth the way he wants them to, painfully inadequate the way they eventually come out. There's a reason Wonwoo doesn't talk to people a lot. It's more so out of necessity than desire, out of fear of being lacking.
So the first time Wonwoo tries something a little.. unconventional, Chan's reaction shouldn't really stun him. Surprise slipping through the spillway spaces between bared canines. Platitudes tumbling through bitten lips. Guilt hanging onto the corners of sharp eyes, shrouding a conflicted, hesitant pleasure. It's so sweetly Chan, yet it stuns him, the way he looks like a sunflower in bloom, like a butterfly unfurling.
His ever-consuming, silent greed finds Lee Chan. It feels like curtains drawing for the spotlight. It feels like clouds parting for the moon. It feels like skin parting beneath a blade.
When faced with the intimidating ordeal of wooing the one he loves, Wonwoo decided to go the traditional route of courtship gifts. It had gone... alarmingly well?

Summary
"We're— we're a couple. Is there a problem with that?" Chanmi yells at the captain. Her lower lip trembles in the same unrelenting rhythm of her palm, sticky and wet and secure in Seungwan's own, in the same rhythm as the unforgiving quiver of her voice, futile words taking shape like raindrops falling between their feet.
They're a thing, Boo Seungwan and Lee Chanmi. It's fruitless, and Chanmi has never been one to go on a fool's errand, but—
"Excuse me. I'm asking a question. We're a married couple," their interlocked fingers raised for everyone to see, "Is. There. A. Problem."
They're wearing matching bracelets. The mismatched shells spell out their names in tiny calligraphy. You're wearing a skirt, Seungwan-ah. Don't be an idiot, Seungwan-ah. Turn yourselves in and go back home. Go back to—
"We are. What are you going to do about it? Will you throw us overboard? Will you? Do it, do it if you have the balls," Seungwan yells, dragging them both to the slippery railing. "Do it, make us leave right now," she says.
She can feel Chanmi eyeing her dubiously from the side, and gives her a look. You started it. Chanmi just sniffs at her.
The captain sighs.

Summary
"Maybe," Minkyung begins in the tone that suggests she's trying to be hesitant but it just comes off as patronizing, that she only pulls out on uncomfortable silences that last longer than thirty seconds and on Soonyoung, "Maybe the problem is that Seungkwan is not an alpha...?"
Chanmi huffs.
"If she's the omega and I'm the omega, then who's going to do the goddamn killing?"

Summary
It wasn't like Seokmin wanted to turn into a rock. He did write it down on one of the stupid forms Dr. Woo made them fill, but because he had run out of all other interesting options five forms ago. Why does the doctor need such personal and often times, intrusive, information on them, anyways? Not that he was complaining. Dr. Woo was almost always right, except for the times he was horribly wrong.
Point? He didn't want to turn into a rock. He only wanted to deflate out of existence like a particularly unloved balloon, left alone to drift into the wind with no racket chasing after him.
He changes his mind soon after, because he didn't hate himself like that. He would've probably liked turning into a cat, so that Chan would have no choice but to acknowledge his incessant whining, but be accepting about it because he will be stabbed in his sleep otherwise. Terribly convenient for Seokmin.
Anything, but a rock. The lack of mouth and movement, he thinks, is his last straw. The universe hates him now. He's gotta die.
Seokmin's last (actual) straw is handpicked and added to the already growing list of multi-colored straws on his back, by his partner Chan.

Summary
"—AND ITS NOT MY FAULT THE FROSTING GOT ALL OVER HER FINGERS—"
"What was it— what was it like?" Jun pipes up cautiously, raising her hand.
Chan blinks, puts a pause on her outburst. She does not mention the doleful eyes she made as she stared at Jihoon that time. It was all part of her strategy. Not that anyone would understand intricate mating rituals involving a natural build-up and a whirlwind romance. Confessing straight away would suck the roman d'amour out of it all. She wants to draw Jihoon in. (No, it's not like she's afraid of being rejected. That's just ridiculous.)
"She has nice, bony fingers, okay?" she says, and Jun nods like she understands.
"All fingers are bony you're just a horny freak!!!!!" Seungkwan exclaims, and well. Chan cannot deny that. But still. Still.

Summary
“Look at him,” he spits out, the screen on a picture of Chan in some restaurant, green hoodie pulled over his dark brown hair and a glass of lemonade in his hands.
Jeonghan blinks at the picture, opens his mouth, and then snaps it shut. Seungkwan feels a mulish sense of self-satisfaction, as ridiculous as that is. Jeonghan is difficult to surprise.
“See what I mean?”
Jeonghan passes his phone back to him with an equally mulish expression that means he does see. “Okay, whatever, sure, but that doesn’t mean anything. You’re the one he’s dating now! It just means Vernon-ah has exceptionally good taste.”

Summary
“Were you waiting for me or something?” he asks, and then visibly winces at his own wording. His ears flush pink.
No, is what she thinks. Be cool, she also thinks. “Yes.” Is what comes out, far too loud. Her voice basically ricochets off all four walls of the shop. What the hell happened to her legendary composure? She’s spent years brushing off guys who stare too long at her lips, making excuses when she sees guys leaning in for a kiss with that awful expression, batting away awkward flirting like a pro - and now she’s falling to pieces over one masked boy with nice eyes?

Summary
“Yeah,” says Seungkwan. “That’s super romantic, actually. Getting annoyed. Like it really gets me going.” He smiles big when Mingyu giggles. “Is it that funny?”
Mingyu has to calm down; objectively, it wasn’t. But he can’t help himself. “It was all right.”

Summary
"Oh you love me so much you want to be my reliable source of blood soooo bad! I didn't realize back then but oh, wow, isn't that moving a bit too fast, Wonwoo-yah? I didn't even bite your finger consciously."
"We've been together ten years, I don't think that's moving too fast."
"I've been a vampire for like, a month! That's still very new!"

Summary
Seungkwan’s message starts with, Sorry about your break-up. I heard from Jeonghan-hyung. It ends, So if you really want to say something to me, just tell me hyung. We’re too old to be acting like high school kids. There are a lot more words in between.
He doesn’t send it, of course. But it feels good to type it all out.

Lots of things are changing in Seungkwan's life. It kind of sucks that Mingyu is one of them.
