With delayed speech, sensory difficulties, and a brain that refused to conform, Shane grew up always finding ways to cope using hockey, systems, and routine. After temporarily losing his speech in a very public meltdown at the world juniors, Shane is forced to carve a path as the first publicly autistic player in the NHL, accommodations and all.

    Chronic surprise Ilya Rozanov is determined to prove to Shane that he isn't a problem to be solved, while both men must learn to accept that they're worthy of love at all.
