Summary
Tommy wasn’t doing too well, that much was clear to anyone. Though, at least he wasn’t dead.
Techno tried to keep any of his jewellery from clinking together as he followed Tommy, shrouded by an invisibility potion. He’d heard from Ranboo that the kid had died, and he needed to check for himself. Obviously, he was wrong, seeing as Tommy was alive and walking around the SMP.
He didn’t look too good, though. He seemed jumpy, frightened of his own shadow. When he went to pull a block from his inventory, his hands shook like he had the arthritis of a ninety year old. Techno had been following him for a day and a half, and hadn’t seen him eat once.

Every day he wakes up when a scientist enters his room, he goes to testing, gets breakfast, goes back into the room, and gets dinner. That never changes.

He could finally leave this attic and cuddle with his parents with Henry, no more creepy spiders or weird bugs that always managed to find their way into his burrow no matter how hard he tried.The kid's heart froze as the car approached the driveway, it was not the familiar red that he knew and grew up with. "In one moment, Tommy is being beaten against an obsidian wall."In the next, he's waking up in his childhood bedroom. There's magic on his tongue, he's in his childhood home, and his family is still dysfunctional but they are at least together. He can prevent their destruction if he can just get past his own grown fears of them. He can do this by himself, it's what is best for them all. He can keep them from breaking apart, keep Wilbur and Tubbo from all the pain they've experienced. Tommy can do this for them, even if he's a little bit cracked now. If they get suspicious, well, what was that play Wilbur mentioned once? Hamlet? Tommy can just do what that guy did.
(Tommy time travels into the past and begins to disguise his traumatic responses as the same kind of Chat Madness his older brother Techno is known for. But madness begets madness, and how far can Tommy go with a lie that begins to bleed at the edges?)
