Katsuki’s team arrived at the game undefeated and out for blood, only to be beaten by an underdog team from some no-name high school led by their captain, Kirishima Eijirou, another center. It had been the worst day of Katsuki’s life because they had ended up losing by a hair, but to Katsuki, it might’ve been zero to a million with how hard he took the loss.

Kirishima brings up Bakugou one day as he and Kaminari are eating together in the campus cafeteria. Super casual, like yeah-I-saw-this-guy-on-TV-once, and not I’ve-watched-literally-every-single-interview-he’s-ever-even-been-in-the-background-of-and-wouldn’t-mind-having-his-babies.
“Oh, him,” Kaminari says. “Eh, he’s popular lately, I guess. Don’t see what all the hype's about.”
Kirishima feels lightheaded. “You—you don’t see the hype—” he splutters. “He’s incredible, dude.”
Kaminari just eyes him.

Summary
Eijirou has learned to love, from his mothers, his sisters, and Crimson Riot, and it shows on his body, in the way that the flowers are colored and several are stemmed and rooted, how he doesn’t have many flower scars and bruises, from where the flowers fade away.
But Bakugou? There’s barely an inch of color on him, only displaying pearly pale skin. Perhaps in another world, showing such simple skin is normal, but in the world they live in, where Quirks reigned dominant and floral tattoos are the norm, Bakugou is the outcast.
In which Kirishima Eijirou has been in love with his best friend for all of three years and the flower tattoos on his back just keep growing.
