    Summary

Apollo glared through a window at the harsh light of his own sun, feeling his power rolling off of his skin. Lightning bubbled in his veins, and he struggled to temper it. His hands came up to rub at his temples, the agony of an injury not entirely his pulling his attention away.

"Breathe, breathe," he quietly reminded himself. It was imperative that none of the others realized exactly who Lester was, so he had to pull himself together.

"Brother?" Hermes asked, popping up next to his throne.

Apollo screeched, and lightning exploded against the Appalachian Mountains. First, it was Artemis, and now Hermes. Thinking back, Apollo felt certain it was the Council's fault for most of what had gone on these past few months.

    Summary

Overthrowing Zeus was never a thought that had crossed Apollo's mind. Not in centuries, at least. He had already done it once, ticking it off his ever-expanding Bucket List, but after the safety of his demigod friends is threatened, Apollo thinks it might be time to try again, for a second time.

    Summary

This is basically the opposite of my Lightning Rod series. Except for how both might involve hurt/comfort, except this time, the gods are a proper family and everyone loves everyone else. This will mostly be shown through hurt/comfort stories (though I can picture a few fluffy no hurt pieces mixed in), mostly but not necessarily always with Hermes being the one hurt.

I made up an entire worldview logic, complete with a multi-page explanation just to create rules for how the gods can get hurt when they are, well, gods. Then promptly decided not to bother to share it after all because generally readers just accept 'this person is now hurt because, reasons' and it was kind of a lot.
