Summary
“Two elves and a human walk into a ball,” Calien begins. The end hangs in the air.
Meruka’s dark eyes glitter as she turns them on him. “And then?”
“I don’t know, we kill everyone?”
Rocío’s face twitches slightly. She fiddles with her necklace of sparkling red gems and says nothing – but Meruka does.
“Only if they deserve it,” she replies.

“Then will you come in?”
“Are you certain? I may never want to leave again.”
The warning is hollow, if it can be called that at all, though Anders no doubt intends it as one.
Rosemarie takes a step forward. Her voice is quiet, soft against late night. “And if I wanted you to stay? Would you?”

“You named your dog Fluffy?”
“My sister did, after she won a game against Carver for the right to pick the name.”
“Unbelievable. Mabari are not fluffy. I’d understand if it was a kitten, but–”
“Please forgive me but I don’t believe you’re in any position to judge how anyone names their animals. After–”
“Ser Pounce-a-lot is a perfectly normal name for a pet.”

Summary
It comes in the form of a letter on a sunny winter morning. The courier who brings it is no different than any other, clad in leathers and warm furs and with a thin layer of frost on their eyelashes. A summoning from the king himself to discuss a personal matter of utmost importance – and he asks for discretion and signs it informally. The Warden Commander of Ferelden sets out before the sun is gone from the sky.
She arrives in Denerim three days later.

Summary
In theory, Vero Solano is living every hockey-obsessed kid’s dream. After surviving a string of hazing incidents, they’ve clawed their way to the Show – the Thedas Hockey League. When Vero is traded mid-season to the Antiva City Crows, they’re preceded by their reputation as a stand-offish loner who prefers anonymous hookups off the ice to team bonding. To everyone’s surprise – including and especially their own – they soon find themself connecting with Viago de Riva, the Crows’ enigmatic goaltender whose on-ice brilliance has earned him respect despite his own eccentricities.
A 14-year THL veteran and the cornerstone of the franchise, Viago has spent his entire career barely tolerating his teammates. Still, there’s something about Vero’s careful detachment that’s entirely too familiar. Despite his misgivings, he finds himself offering the Crows' newest defense player post-practice advice that quickly evolves into something that looks dangerously like friendship – and maybe more.

Summary
This sort of job wasn't exactly his favorite. The slow 'stealth and stab' kind of contracts lacked the thrill of an all out fight, nor did it have the challenge of a poisoning or infiltration. This method was always the most lackluster, and Calien couldn't help but feel just a little bit disappointed. He'd been looking forward to a brawl tonight.
The only reason why he'd accepted the contract in the first place was for the quarry.
Lucanis Dellamorte. Master Assassin of the Dellamorte House. Grandson and former heir of the First Talon. Famed Demon of Vyrantium. And, apparently, now back from the dead.
Alas, an interesting target still died just as quickly in his sleep as a boring one, and no amount of disappointment was going to change that. At least with these quick in-and-out, dagger-to-the-throat contracts, he'd be back to the tables playing Dead Man's Tricks before sun up.
Or so he thought.
*
When Calien De Riva accepts a contract against the long-believed-dead Lucanis Dellamorte, he expects to be in-and-out well before daybreak. What he doesn't expect is opposition in the form of a simple Dalish hunter- nor the chaos she brought with her.

Teia has learned to read a crowd—who to approach, who to avoid, who won't notice a slim elven girl making off with the contents of their purse. The woman with the cane looks like easy prey. She is anything but.

Summary
Everyone in Thedas knew the dangers of possession. Demons whispered sweet promises through dreams at night, preying on weak-willed and gullible mages to turn them into abominations. What no one knew was how it felt to have a demon forced upon you, drawn in against its will in a way that corrupts both the spirit and the person. An unholy bond of hatred and despair.
But Lucanis knew. As did the other prisoners of the Ossuary, all those whose lives had been lost to Zara Renata's horrendous experiments.
