“Are you ever going to do more than stare?”
Yuuji blinks like he’s coming out of a daze, and Satoru would be flattered, has been flattered by it before, if this wasn’t the third time in the last hour it’s happened. He’s never denied his vanity, but the same compliment from the same person gets repetitive after a point.
“Stare at what?” Yuuji asks after he’s come back to himself, the perfect picture of complete confusion.
“Playing dumb, are we?”
“No?”
“It doesn’t suit you,” Satoru goes on like Yuuji didn’t say a word, “and it won’t work. You haven’t been subtle.”
“About what,” Yuuji asks, bewildered now, frowning that way he does when he thinks Satoru isn’t making any sense at all.
“My dick, Yuuji,” Satoru answers, as infinitely patient as any good teacher should be. “You keep staring at it.”
Yuuji gapes at him.

“Itadori Yuuki,” Satoru says; Megumi’s face gains some more colour, blush spreading towards his collar. “You’re not very subtle, you know. You’re lucky that girl’s oblivious as a brick wall.” Satoru considers it, head tilted. “Looks like one, too. Is that really your type?” Another second of consideration before he shrugs. “I suppose it makes sense.”
“Stop talking,” Megumi says, dazed; his face is fully flushed now. “Just—shut up.”
Satoru doesn’t. “You should thank me, you know. I’ve given you the perfect excuse to invite her over. I can even leave you two alone to get to know each other.”
“I already know her.”
“Megumi-chan!” Satoru gasps, pressing his palms to his cheeks. “You sly dog. Don’t tell me that’s why you were so late coming home?”
“You’re disgusting,” Megumi says, the dizziness fading to make space for his usual disdain of everything Satoru. “And a pervert. I’m not gonna hook up with Itadori.”

Summary
It’s been a long, long time since Satoru was last overwhelmed by sensory input. He wouldn’t be now, even if he wasn’t wearing a blindfold. But watching crowds move long enough for his brain to start trying to separate people into individuals is a sure-fire way to give himself a headache, and he’s got no interest in suffering that kind of pain.
Satoru scans the crowd out of sheer habit anyway, Six Eyes sweeping over cursed energy fluctuations, too messy to be considered signatures. It doesn’t tell him much about the people he’s looking at. There’s no one sensitive in this crowd, not even enough to work as a window. Definitely not anyone the school would want him to scout out even though he’s terrible at recruitment. There’s a certain kind of dishonesty required that Satoru can’t be bothered with.
Except there is something worth noticing in the crowd

Yuuji’s still willing to ask questions, though. “What does that mean for me? I’m your student now?”
“You are,” Satoru confirms. Yuuji will get his student ID and uniform soon. Something with a hood, if Satoru gets any say in it, and he will. “Don’t look so excited yet though! There’s some caveats. Which really means one,” Satoru admits, tilting his head. “But it’s important.”
Finally starting to look wary, Yuuji asks, “What is it?”
Well. The best way to remove a band-aid is to rip it off.
Satoru settles deeper against the door, crossing his ankles and arms. “You’re going to need to get mated before your rut hits.”
For a second, all Yuuji does is stare at him, no expression at all on his face, and then: “What.”

“When Sukuna ripped your heart out,” he clarifies, reaching down to run his fingertips along her scalp; sensation spills down Yuuki’s spine, hot enough to make her melt back against Gojo’s long legs. “Did you want it to scar?”
“It wouldn’t have been hard to hide if it did. And it wouldn’t have limited my movement either, right? So I’d still have been fine to fight.”

Summary
Yuuji’s grandfather is burning when the strangest man he’s ever met asks him to choose his hell.
“Will it be you?” Yuuji asks. “The one to kill me.”
There’s a brief pause before the response. “Probably. I wouldn’t entrust Sukuna’s vessel to anyone else, certainly not at full power.”
Something twinges in Yuuji’s chest at the assumption there. A duller clench follows—not quite guilt.
“No,” he says, finally looking up. “I mean now.”
Even with the blindfold—worth a sharp flare of confusion each time he looks at Gojou—Yuuji can tell Gojou’s surprised. He can see it twist into a frown too, and it’s somehow a kinder expression than all his smiles have been.
“Definitely then,” Gojou tells him. “I’m already here anyway. Just so we’re clear—you’re choosing to die now?”
When told to choose his hell, Itadori Yuuji picks the easier one—a clean death, then and there. He couldn’t have known that it was never really a choice.
Or: Gojou Satoru kidnaps a teenager, supposedly for his own good.
