AU: canon divergence – set after the end of Alien (1979) in an AU in which Ripley did not notice the Xenomorph that had stowed away in her shuttle before going into hypersleep.

Shepard is soft, for a battlemaster. It is not her fault. She is a human, and softness comes with the territory, even if people call her the Butcher when she isn’t around to hear. Wrex would wear that title as a badge. Shepard flinches at it. Humans are not built for violence like krogan are.
But she is still a battlemaster. Wrex has seen her teeth.
