    Jackie squinted up at Shauna, “you’re lying.”

    Her cheeks flushed at being called out. Was Jackie actually getting better? Maybe not—yet. Would Shauna tell her that? Absolutely not. Instead, she just gave Jackie another kiss, wiping the scrutinizing look from her face.
