Summary
Martin can't even live with another person. He's tried.
It didn't work with Jane because he didn't know how to work with another person. Marty knows that. He's borderline narcissistic in his hunger for attention and winning in the courtroom, and of course his relationships suffered for it. How do you have a stable relationship when you're always going to sacrifice everything to win? More pressingly, how do you survive life with a potential serial killer using the same bathroom?
"Luck," Aaron spits at him, still resentful at him for abandoning him after the trial, and moves into his apartment with a sick relish.

Summary
"Your days are numbered," In-ho said. Voice flat. Face blank.
"Of course, silly," Jung-bae patted his shoulder, chuckling like, instead of a threat, In-ho cracked a funny joke for once. "It's called a calendar."
Or, after having witnessed the closeness Jung-bae shared with Gi-hun, In-ho's mask cracked and he, in the fit of possessiveness and possibly jealousy, found himself unable to contain the bitterness he harbored for Gi-hun's best friend. Unfortunately, no one — not even Jung-bae — took the danger he promised seriously. Not when he was, according to everybody, tiny and cute.
