Time felt as easily obtainable to grab ahold of as he felt himself blink in slow motion, unable to follow the way Hirose was quickly walking toward the door.
Away from Nakamura.
"Hirose, wait!"
The words flew from his mouth before he could let himself second guess them. The boy was already grasping the door to the school and Hirose had to whip his head around in order to properly look at the former. Nakamura felt his cheeks heat up as he took a beat to think about his next move. Trying to hide his nerves, he braced his toes to the ground, reminding himself he was still without shoes. "Um," he let out shakily, dropping his gaze to the ground as his leaned backwards from where he had outstretched his hand, as if he could use any force strong enough to will the brunet to stay. "Just wait."
