Summary
"We're basically a cover band, but Mike’s actually been doing a bit of songwriting as well. And we want to debut his first song tonight for you guys before we go. So forgive him for slowing things down and getting sappy."
What is happening?
Mike wrote a song?
A slow song?
A sappy song?
Oh god. A wave of sickness stirs in his gut.
He's been writing songs for El… that's what this is.
Or: The one where Vecna was defeated in Season 4, nobody died, Hellfire is a band, and Mike Wheeler can't stop writing love songs.

Summary
Today isn't about him at all. It's Jane's perfect reunion with her boyfriend, and Will doesn't have a place within it. It doesn't matter that he's missed Mike, too. It doesn't matter that today is Will's birthday. He shouldn't even be there, not when their plans are only really for Jane and Mike. He's intruding, and he knows himself well enough to know that he's not going to be able to put on a happy face and let himself be excluded without showing just how badly it hurts him. He'll only ruin their time together if he sticks around.
Will decides to go home by himself rather than go with Mike and Jane to Rink-O-Mania.

Summary
"You wanna help me?" His voice was unrecognizable to even himself, deep and rugged in an almost animalistic way—he didn't pay it any mind.
Will nodded, much too innocently for the situation.
Mike sighed, more of a gravelly ripple in his chest than an actual breath.
"I need a taste." Will froze at that, his head tilting in confusion, "Please?" The alpha begged.
Just as it felt like Will would try to escape again, Mike tightened his grip.
"T-taste of what?" He asked, but stuttered, like he already knew what.
Mike inhaled, breath hitching at that heavy syrupy scent, "You."
Or,
Mike gets his first rut on his 18th birthday and develops a sudden craving for Will

Summary
William got to his feet and turned around, prayer book clutched to his chest. Michael was standing in the center of the chapel, obviously just come from sparring practice. He was still wearing his dented cuirass, a leather pauldron on his right shoulder. The moonlight through the stained-glass windows painted him in blue and gold.
“Forgot to leave your armor behind in the gymnasium?” asked William lightly, skirting around him to set the prayer book back in its tabernacle.
“Something like that,” said Michael. He stepped out of the shaft of light, joining William at the perimeter of the circular room.
William closed the ornate wooden door of the tabernacle and turned to face him. “How did you know I’d be here?”
“I know you,” Michael said simply. I love you, he might as well have said, for the way it sent William’s heart skittering inside his chest.
Michael has been betrothed to the princess since their infancy. But it’s her brother he really wants.

Summary
"I thought you didn't have heats?"
"I thought so, too." Will spoke. "I didn't realize that was what it was until…"
"Until?" Mike encouraged him on.
"Until I got here." He continued, turning to Mike to meet his eyes. "And I smelled your scent."
Or: Due to past trauma, Will doesn't think his inner will ever feel safe enough to fully present. Not expecting his heat to crash into him full force, he goes to see his best friend as he so often does, accidentally triggering his rut, and bringing about an unplanned pregnancy.
