Summary
Nanami wonders, though. Does Gojo see Geto in him same way he does with Haibara? Does Gojo think of him the same way?
When he thinks of Geto tenderly— if he does—, as a man with morals too strong for a world who crushes all sense of principle, like a soul too young, that watched too many people die and couldn't keep up with it, does he see Megumi?
And some other times, when he thinks of Geto like his first love— if he does—, like the person he would tear his heart apart for, and he remembers the exact shape of his hand and how warm and soft it was— if it was—, does he think of him?
Does Nanami’s own name come as easily to Gojo's mind when he thinks of Geto, as Gojo’s name comes to Nanami’s mind when he thinks of Haibara?
Does Suguru sounds as alike Kento to Gojo, as Yu sounds like Satoru to Nanami?
Even if they share no letters? Even if they share just one.

Summary
He closes his eyes. Enough. He did enough already.
But then— there's a weight on the mattress at his back. So he freezes.
The blankets are lifted, and then someone else's warmth erases the cold completely.
An arm wraps around his waist. A chest flushes against his back. Breath hunts the back of his neck. And wet hair brushes against his own.

Summary
He’s nothing like Yu. Nanami knows that. He wouldn't dare insult Haibara’s memory that way. But God.
He can't help searching for him in Gojo. In everyone. In everything. But particularly in Gojo.
Because how he wishes Haibara had been that strong. Strong enough to die and come back.
How he wishes for Yu to come back. To never have left.

Summary
Only when he’s reading a book and the character is compared to a god. He can't help it. That is Gojo’s fault, anyway. He's the reason the word and the name feel almost the same for Kento now.
Nanami doesn't think about it. He doesn't think about the fact that, if he had to express a definition for the word, he would think about Gojo first. And then, after that, he would say— because he knows it from memory— “a spirit or being believed to control some part of the universe or life and often worshipped for doing so.” And then, against his own will, he would think “like Gojo.”
Curious. The priorities of the mind. Of his mind. Gojo. Dictionary. Gojo.
Perhaps it is because he knows him from memory, too. Or perhaps because he doesn't. But he wishes to. Well— no. He doesn't. He doesn't wish to. Because he does not think about Gojo often.

Summary
“I killed Suguru today.”
Nanami blinks. Once. And Gojo is looking at him now. Those bright blue eyes, nothing like the sky, or the ocean, or diamonds. Nothing like anything he has ever seen but their own. Absurdly infinite— and yet contained. Absurdly powerful. Absurdly captivating. Absurdly annoying.
“It was necessary,” he speaks again then, quiet, matter-of-fact— like a real sorcerer would, like Nanami once did. “The balance is preserved. The world is safe. All according to plan,” Nanami hears the dry edge perfectly, and hates it instantly.
He lets the information settle. He remains quiet. Silent. A pause. One not long enough. “I am sorry for your loss. But you should leave, Gojo-san,” he makes sure to emphasize it— his name, the suffix behind it. He is cordially sorry, not personally. He is personally annoyed. And Gojo should certainly leave.
