Louis offers Lestat the joint. Lestat stares at it, hesitating.
"Go on," Louis says.
"Are you peer-pressuring me?"
"Mm-hm. I'm a real bad influence."
"Well," Lestat says, shrugging, "I can't say no to you."
Their fingers brush as Louis hands over the smoking joint. Ash falls in little specks onto the bed. Lestat places the joint between his plush pink lips, tipping his head back as he inhales deeply.
Louis licks his lips. He's overcome with the urge to climb on Lestat's lap and kiss his pale, exposed neck—but he's locked in place, his whole body heavy, weighted like an anchor undersea.
Louis and Lestat smoke a joint and go on an adventure across campus to get some food. Louis spirals about their relationship along the way.

Beside him, his fingers fidget, as though he's already trying to conjure up a spell to heal whatever ailment must surely have befallen Arthur to incline him towards such generosity. "Is Gwen dying? Morgana? Gaius? Lancelot or Gwaine or -?"
Arthur rolls his eyes. "No one is dying, Merlin," he says, before Merlin can hyperventilate his way through every person they have ever met. "I just thought I would do something nice for you, for a change."
"Oh." Merlin looks down at the table again. His brow creases. Then, prompting Arthur to once again wonder how on Earth he could have fallen so deeply in love with such an idiot, Merlin asks; "Why?"
