Summary

Summary
When he was little he didn't really feel all that cursed. Ryuji barely noted the colors that broke apart his skin until they started to hurt him. Until they turned his short temper into a weapon against his body. Until they turned any strong emotion he had into a way to break him down.
He found ways to cope and his parents found a way to help him as well. Even if he didn't want the service dog because it made him feel broken. There was no backing out of it so he pushed forward to continue reaching for his goal of becoming an exorcist despite the problems his curse presented.

“Are you gonna kiss me?” Rin teases, feeling pride swell in his chest. The question is a reminder that this all hinges on whatever Suguro is doing next. Words are easily misunderstood – their closeness, and the warmth of Suguro’s hands, isn’t worth mentioning to Yoshikuni. A kiss, though? Rin isn’t that stupid. He knows the difference between blurring the line and crossing it.
“Yeah,” Suguro answers, his fingers grazing Rin’s thigh. “I am.”

Ryūji’s eyes darted from Rin to the unconscious men behind him. His heart was hammering, and he was dizzy with the breathlessness. Six guys. Six guys Rin had just taken out without any real effort. Six guys that had tried to jump them and —
“What the hell?”
Rin’s head snapped towards him. His bangs were hanging in his eyes, there was blood on his cheek, and his lips were spread in a snarl that showed wild fangs. Ryūji’s hand slipped on the damp grass, and he fell back on his elbows. It sent a bolt of pain up his arm that was so unimportant in the current circumstances.
“Ryūji, okay?”
Bon had no idea how to answer that question.
