Summary
“You remind me of someone, too,” Alex confesses, hoping to take her mind off of the pain. She doesn’t want to give too much information away – the less people who know about Kara the better – but she can’t deny that there are a startling number of similarities between her and Supergirl.
Supergirl hums with interest. Her eyes remain on the wall across from her, not once straying to Alex. There is an amount of trust that Supergirl is placing in her by doing so, by not sparing the woman digging into her wound even a glance, and Alex can’t comprehend why. “Really?”
“Yeah,” Alex says, moving onto the shards of kryptonite now. “My baby sister. Well – not a baby sister, but she’s a year younger than me so it’s basically the same thing.” She glances up at Supergirl’s face, at her pursed lips and the crinkle between her brows. “You’re both stubborn. And you both come into my apartment uninvited.”
Supergirl laughs again, and something in Alex feels the need to keep her smiling, the same way she always wants to make Kara smile.
“I don’t know. Something about you reminds me of her.”

“Kara,” Alex murmurs, taking one of Kara’s hands between hers with a feather-light touch, “you’re shaking.”
She is; try as she might, she cannot stop it. Her hands tremble with the reminders of her humanity, her heart pounding in her chest, and she doesn’t know what to do.
Kara doesn’t want to die. She has spent these past few years as Supergirl believing that she is invincible. She is strong and brave and she protects her city and everyone in it because she has these powers for a reason and she needs to use them. And before Reign, Kara knew she would die for National City, that she would do anything to protect it, but dying never seemed so possible until she was dangling over the city, bleeding and bruised and gasping for breath.
So Kara is scared. The unshakable, invulnerable Supergirl is scared.

Summary
Yelena must notice her, being the trained assassin that she is, but she doesn’t greet Ava. Doesn’t even turn to look at her. She just stares out at the city, legs idly swinging back and forth, letting Ava set the pace. Ava gingerly takes a seat next to Yelena, cross-legged rather than letting them hang in freefall almost a hundred storeys in the air. Her chest still feels a bit tight, her hands still red and raw.
"...Are you okay?" Yelena asks. Her eyes are glued to the skyline, fingers tapping a steady rhythm on the ground.
“I’m okay,” Ava replies. “Just… dreams.”
“Ah,” Yelena hums. She hesitates for a moment, glancing at Ava from the corner of her eyes. “Do you want to talk about it?”

She mumbles something that would be unintelligible to anything else but them. But it's them, so Ichika recognises the exact tone and cadence of the words Shiho-chan's so mean.

Ichika blinks slowly, disoriented and confused. Why is it so dark? Where is she? Where are her friends? As her vision gradually comes back to her, all her questions are answered: she’s in the movie theater, the credits are rolling, the lights are fading back to a dim, and the faces of Saki, Honami, and Shiho all peer down at her as they stand around her chair.
“Hrk—“ she groans, to answer Shiho’s question.
“She did fall asleep,” Saki says, and laughs, shooting Shiho a smug grin. “I won the bet. You owe me money now.”
