Summary
For five years, Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully have navigated the unexplainable side by side: monsters, conspiracies, and the kind of loyalty that defies reason. They’ve survived abductions, conspiracies, and losses. But they have lived in the spaces between it all: partners, friends, something more, and never quite enough.
What they’ve never survived… is distance.
When Dana Scully is reassigned across the country, Fox Mulder tells himself eight months is nothing. But in her absence, he discovers just how much of his world begins and ends with her.
By the time she returns, Mulder is finally ready to say the words he’s buried for years.
He’s just not prepared for what she brings back with her.
With a deadline looming and the past rising to the surface, Mulder must decide whether to stay silent or risk everything on a truth that may already be too late.- Language:

Summary
When Scully faces forced reassignment due to a bureaucratic crackdown on her citizenship status, she somehow ends up in a fake engagement, to Mulder, to keep her position and protect the X-Files. What starts as a transactional arrangement becomes an emotional journey as they confront the truth of what they mean to each other.
Yes, it’s based on The Proposal — because the only thing better than Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock’s chemistry is Fox Mulder and Dana Scully being absolute disasters with heart eyes.

Summary
People were dying after fulfilling their most intimate wishes in a small town. Mulder's and Scully's conclusions, most of the time different, occasionally could lid to a common ground.
(The scenarios and visuals were idealized in the middle of the season 6).

Summary
What if Mulder returned to England after "The Erlenmeyer Flask"? And someone decided this was the perfect time to start stalking Scully?
OR
“They’re goddamn right you should’ve told me!” His voice thundered off eighteenth-century oak beams. “You could be dead, right now!”
She made a noise like he’d slapped her. Had he really just repeated their first fight? Yes. Of course. Because Fox Mulder was a sap and a fuckup and he’d left her all alone out there, and now- “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to yell like that. I’m just…”
“I didn’t think you’d care.” Her voice was the size of a lethal injection needle. It threaded neatly under his skin and into his veins and sent breathless death straight into his heart.
“What?” he rasped.
“You’d moved on. Or, away. You’d moved away. You have another life at Oxford, now, Mulder. Other goals. Other priorities. I should handle these things on my own. I need to handle these things on my own.”
“...Is this why you won’t answer my emails? Is this why you screen all your calls?”Bookmarked by ultimatexffan

Summary
Post-cancer arc. Remission changes everything and nothing. Scully and Mulder fall into a new routine: Sunday nights, case files, and conversations they're both too careful with. When someone asks for her number, Scully says yes. It's the right choice. Probably.

Summary
This is a short post-Orison fic.
After the attack, Scully chooses to remain in her apartment. She is struggling with a profound sense of lost control in every sense of the word: Pfaster’s intrusion, the physical restraint, and even the act of killing him, which leaves her feeling displaced from her own agency. Leaving the apartment feels, to her, like an acknowledgment that Pfaster still holds a presence there, in the space that should be hers.
Mulder, in turn, decides that if she stays, he will stay with her.
That night, Scully attempts to reclaim control in a way that ultimately leaves her feeling even more hollow. In the aftermath, Mulder helps her begin to understand what control actually is, and what it is not.

Summary
Three months.
Three months of walking past Mulder’s desk and refusing to look at the empty chair. Three months of pretending that the silence in the basement office didn’t hum louder than the fluorescent lights.
When Walter Skinner had called her into his office and told her Mulder had been reassigned, off the books, classified even from her, she’d stood perfectly still. Hands folded. Chin lifted.
“For his safety,” Skinner had said.
“For how long?” she’d asked.
“I don’t know.”
And that had been that.Bookmarked by ultimatexffan

Summary
“What is it?” she said “What’s wrong?”
“Go and get changed,” he said softly “There’s been an accident. Your Mom has been taken to Georgetown Memorial. I’ve just spoken to Bill, he’s on his way.”
“Oh my god!” she stood knocking her coffee over in her haste “Shit,” she grabbed a wad of paper towels and started trying to clean up “What happened?”
He stilled her hands, placing both of his over hers “Look at me please” he said gently, his tone reassuring. She didn’t want to, she knew one look at him and she’d crumble but she did it anyway. His eyes were soft and reassuring brimming with concern.

Summary
A psychological experiment: pushing Mulder to the edge through jealousy he believes is justified… but isn’t.
Told in alternating first‑person POVs (Mulder and Scully), this story unravels a web of misunderstandings, dark humor, and a threat neither of them sees coming.
Key promise: No infidelity. Scully’s loyalty is absolute — but her silence might cost them everything.
Genre: Psychological thriller, angst, dark comedy.

Summary
When Scully asked Mulder to help out with the IVF, she didn’t really take into consideration that everyone they knew – friends, family and enemies – would be bound to find out about it.
Set during S6, in a world where M/S kept the X-Files and Fowley has been working in some other division with Spender. And Pendrell hasn’t died. Basically, this is satisfactorily canon-divergent.

Summary
When Mulder and Scully are called to look into a baffling death in a small, isolated town, they expect a routine X-File (if there's any such thing). But as they dig deeper, the familiar quickly turns strange. Odd details at the crime scene hint at something unnatural, and as they follow a trail of clues, the world around them begins to shift in unsettling ways. Are they falling victim to lost time, slipping between parallel dimensions, or has something far more sinister — like the whispers of dark fairies from old folklore — taken root? As reality unravels, they must question everything they know if they have any hope of solving the mystery — and making it out alive.

Summary
I’ve taken some liberties as the timeline is based on a once-detailed web page dedicated to the X-files first three seasons. Unfortunately, the original data has been lost. I’m using my copy as a template for this story. It can be found in the last chapter.
I’ve re-watched up to Little Green Men. The more I watch, the more I see our beloved character’s personalities change as they become embroiled in a conspiracy. By S7 they are almost unrecognisable and we get fewer monsters of the week. I thought, what if they wrote Scully’s pregnancy into the story? Mulder knew a change was coming in Tooms. What if he needed to protect them? Skinner is an unknown quantity at this point and may be working for the Smoking Man. What could he do? My mind got working and came up with this story.
S1E1: Pilot Saturday 7th March 1992 - on screen
S1E24: Elmer Flask Sunday 8th May 1994 (yet the X-files were closed 21st April 1994 go figure)
S2E1: Little Green Men – 7th July 1994 - plane ticket.Chapter 16 - finally, the wedding.
I cannot write smut. Chapters 17 & 18 contain tasteful sexual content. Further warnings are to be posted as necessary.

This is my take on the classic X-Files trope "Mulder pushes Scully away because he thinks he is protecting her." Expect angst, danger, violence, and love. Always love.
