Summary
Adam brings his hands to his cheeks and chin, brushing over the stubble that has grown over the last few days of travelling. He winces at the feeling. It’s not the first time this has happened. Almost every time he catches his reflection in a window, or he spends a moment too long staring at his face while editing, Adam feels a pained bolt of anxiety run through him.

Summary
The point remained that flat tires were a common threat that anyone might encounter and that had been worth at least thinking about, even if his childhood reaction of sobbing in a parking lot at the sight of one had been a little overblown. Clowns were not a common threat. Clowns barely existed in modern life and the ones that did were harmless children's entertainers or very strange evangelists. There was no reason to be abnormally frightened of clowns. If a knife-wielding clown suddenly came around the corner, Sam would be an entirely normal amount of frightened.

Summary
It takes a few seconds for Adam to spot Sam, during which Sam has closed most of the gap between them. The second he does though, Adam is moving too, smiling so wide that Sam imagines it has to hurt at least a bit. The world narrows down to just the two of them. Sam can pretend they aren’t in one of the world’s busiest airports, and are instead alone, nobody able to bother them. A completely private reunion, not witnessed by anybody.

Sam is used to talking to people, to loud rooms and constant conversations and never ending handshakes. There’s always someone new he can meet: a new partner for Nebula or a company willing to sponsor them. The Streamy’s were no different.
