“We can’t end the games in any other way. A lot more of us would die if we got caught up in the fight with the Os.”
“I understand, but isn’t it counterproductive? You did come into the games to save people. Why are you letting people die now?”
Gi-hun paused, his jaw setting as he registered Young-il’s words. Involuntarily, Gi-hun stared him down, like he’d been trying to intimidate him. “We simply can’t have everything, Young-il-ssi. Don’t you know this by now?”
“Do you think not everyone is worth saving, then?”

A guard came up to him and In-ho could barely flinch anymore. He didn't know what he could've done to deserve this.

This was his only chance, even though the fire in him had been long snuffed out.

Inho saw a man standing alone, slouched, wearing a ballcap and smoking a cigarette. Inho found himself fixating on him, on the cigarette, being reminded of something. Like a deja-vu.
He couldn't place it. -
