They’re rivals on the ice, best friends (and fuck buddies) off of it. Michael’s been the captain of the Sydney Ice Dogs for only one season, but one thing he’s learnt is that his teammates mean the world to him. More specifically, Luke, Ashton and Calum mean the absolute world to him. So, when the annual Trans-Tasman Ice Hockey Challenge came around, Michael tried to be supportive of Calum’s decision to play for team New Zealand, even though he himself, along with Luke and Ashton, would be playing for team Australia. He was supportive, seriously, but he felt weird looking across the locker room and not seeing his favourite Alternate Captain staring back at him, heat in his eyes and passion in his lungs.

Michael and Calum are teammates, but now temporarily rivals, and feelings emerge because of this. (Inspired by the author attending the 2026 Trans-Tasman and getting inspired)

It started as a fight over uncompleted chores, but then Awsten impulsively made a comment about Otto’s childhood — a low blow, he’ll admit – despite the older man’s childhood not being overly upsetting. Well, after a slap to the face and a string of curses spat at him, Otto left promptly. And, to be blunt, Awsten isn’t taking it well. Two hospital stays and black stitching in multiple locations are the result of Otto leaving.

Geoff Wigington is NOT an alcoholic. Sure, his tolerance is incredibly high and when he gets drunk he is pretty much out of it for a week, but he’s not an alcoholic. His friends and fans would joke about it, as Geoff’s the only one to drink in their three-piece band, but he’s not an alcoholic. Awsten would never let him get to that point…but it’s hard for Awsten to protect him from himself when Awsten doesn’t even know half of what Geoff does.
