A moment later a white fox darted out. It clearly hadn't seen Wei Qingwei as it hobbled over to the water, bending to take a drink. It was a sleek thing, but so skinny he could see its ribs. On its neck was a thin silver chain used as a collar and the white fur by its foot was dyed a crusted brownish red. Wei Qingwei shifted, peering to get a closer look, and the tiny thing's head shot up. Piercing green eyes met his and it backed up, bearing its teeth.
"Hey, hey, it's alright," he raised his hands. He caught sight of the bao, still clutched in his fingers, and tore a piece off, tossing it over to the fox. "Look see. We can be friends."

Summary
Yue Qingyuan woke in a patch of grass and warm sunlight. He blinked up into a blue sky, breathing in the soft scent of lily floating through the breeze. His limbs felt heavy with a soft pressure thrumming in his head and low in his chest. It made him feel sleepy, like it might be good to just lie back down and close his eyes.
There was a sound from behind him, a sharp draw of breath, and he forced his limbs into motion. He turned and every thought in his head ground to a halt. It was Shen Qingqiu. He looked exactly as he had in life. His long beautiful hair drifted in the breeze. His robes, as pale as his green eyes, drifted in soft arcs along the grass.

Summary
