Summary
Charles has known Max for years, practically their whole lives, and Charles always felt like they were close. Sure, Max spent time with all of the Leclerc brothers, not just him, but Charles was his link to the family, right? And despite their growing apart when Max joined F1, they had been getting closer recently. So there was really no world in which he expected Max to be the reason for his current heartache.
But when his brother Arthur posts pictures of himself and Max online, announcing their relationship, Charles feels his heart sink. His brother is dating his long-time crush, and didn't even tell him before posting about it online.
