The phone had crackled with the unsteady connection and Nirei’s breathing. He was talking so fast that every time he was forced to stop for breath it came loud and staticky through Haruka’s speaker. He wished he had paid closer attention to what Nirei had told him now.
He had come down to the beach to do some collecting and maybe a little fishing in the tide pools. He would go to check, even if he walked away empty handed. Today the tide pools looked like something closer to a murder scene.Series

He could do that easily by himself. Why have someone bring him things when he is sick? He can just as easily go to the store himself. Why have someone to fight alongside? They would only get in his way.

or, suo hates that he can't figure out kiryu - until the day at the beach. kiryu gives him an opening and suo can't help but take advantage of it.
(from chapter 169, "summer break", on. dual perspective. will likely end up covering suo's arc from kiryu's perspective, as i think there's a lot of potential there.
