Summary
Their shoulders brushed again, slow and equally savored. The kind of movement you couldn't pretend was an accident.
So Will brushed back, just barely. Testing. Flirting. Mike inhaled softly, the faintest noise escaping him. And then he spoke like he was physically unable to stay silent any longer.
“Will? If… if that boy you like…” he was standing so close that Will could feel the warmth of him against the cold air. “…If you ever wanted to tell him…”
Will felt his breath stop.
“…I think he’d want to know.”
OR: A buzzy post-vol 1 fic in which Will finally grows more confident, only for the hivemind’s possession to take it all away again. Mike may be the only one who can bring it back. And the two of them might be the only ones who can save the world.
**Can be read as a vol 2/3 fix-it fic post-finale

Summary
Will stirred sleepily to the sound of voices and a heavy weight beside him.
“Whazup?” he mumbled, lifting his head off the pillow and blinking in the darkness.
“Shhh, it’s fine,” replied Mike’s soft voice, breaking through the stillness that had followed Will’s muffled question, “I’ve got this one. You can go back to sleep.”
Mike and Will take turns staying up with Holly, who has begun to have nightmares about the monsters in Hawkins. Things take a curiously domestic turn.

Summary
When Max is sent away for a month for advanced out of state hospital treatment, Lucas is left with way too much time and way too many feelings. So when he notices the unresolved tension simmering between Will and Mike, he decides to do something about it. But before he can even process what that truly entails, he’s already knee deep in secrets, feelings, and “friendships” that are a lot more complicated than he signed up for.
OR: What starts as a distraction from missing Max turns into the most complicated plan of Lucas’s life as he shifts from helping Will get over Mike to setting them up together (because he’s the bestest, most supportive friend ever, obviously!)

Summary
Will lifts his head slightly, not missing the way Mike’s fingers still hover over his thigh, fingertips brushing it so softly it tickles. Will can’t bring himself to say anything despite it all, not wanting the touch to leave him. Their faces are far too close, close enough that one shutter would have their lips touching. Instinctively, Will’s tongue darts out to wet his lips, and he watches insanely as Mike’s eyes flicker down to trace the movement.
If this cut doesn’t kill him, he’s pretty certain that Mike Wheeler will.
or
Will crashes his bike, sustaining an injury to his thigh. Mike is there to help patch him up. Set during the 18-month gap between seasons 4 and 5 (mwtfdydgate). Loosely inspired by That Belly and Conrad scene from The Summer I Turned Pretty.

Summary
"Alright, Doctor Wheeler. You're up."
"What?" Mike replied. His gaze bounced between Will's wound, his eyes and his lips.
"I can't do the next part, my hands are too shaky. You'll have to stitch it up."
Mike felt like throwing up. He looked down at the needle and suture sitting in the kit. It's like they were staring at him, mocking him.
"I-"
"Please, Mike."
"I don't want to hurt you, Will."
Will thought that was quite generous of him, considering how much Will had hurt Mike within the last 20 or so minutes. Within the last year and a half, actually.
Will was sure he was looking at an angel, not Mike Wheeler. Or maybe Mike Wheeler was the angel he was looking at. Who would've thought that Mike also had a secret identity this whole time? An angel in disguise.Logline: While on the brink of death, Will decides to pay Mike a late-night visit after not seeing him for a year and a half.
Logline 2: Mike finds out in the craziest way possible that his best friend (who he hasn't seen in over a year) was actually a rooftop-swinging, tight suit-wearing, complete idiot of a superhero and it all starts with waking up to Spiderman bleeding out in his living room.Bookmarked by willbyerstruthing
