“I… I want you,” he stutters, hating himself.
“Tell me you need me.”
This time, he doesn’t let the gun click.
“I need you.”
The predatory look that rakes over his body makes him want to throw up. “Good boy. Kneel.”

But Marleau is calling ambulance, and you are going to the hospital.”

Eddie was abruptly miserable, too exposed and raw, and he couldn't just pull up his hoodie and slink away, because Venom would come with him, knowing him and watching. You couldn't get away from this kind of embarrassment, which felt a lot like a dozen hot needles pricking the back of his neck and his shoulders. Symbiosis meant there was no way to cut Venom out.
Cut?
Eddie flinched.
“I didn't mean that. I don't want to cut you out.”
Of course you don't. Venom sounded distracted, and he turned Eddie's head to the knife block on the counter.

Sam’s brain always played tricks on him, but this was a new low. He came all the way to Ohio, took a tech support job, of all things, then dragged a coworker into a hunt through their cushy office. Sure, Sam did a few strange things back at Stanford, but he didn't uproot his entire life.
There was no way that was actually Dean, was there? Sam hallucinated his brother’s face on some poor civilian and pulled him into the life without even thinking. Hunting was the toughest job Sam could imagine, and he forced some pampered desk jockey into it just because he had the same name as his brother—if the guy was even called Dean at all. Sam probably made that up, too.
