“Yes, teacher.” They don’t look up. They don’t have permission to. “I have done my duty.”
“Very good,” Amarah intones. He turns to Azure, letting out a curious sound in acknowledgement. “Oh? Who may this be?”
The fire pops loudly, showering sparks into the air. The chanting falters as the eyes are on the trio.
“An outsider, teacher. He assisted me in gathering the firewood when I was delayed in the forest,” they say, relaxing their body to avoid suspicion. “He said he was interested in Spawnism.”
Azure’s eyes widen slightly as they kick at the cultist’s leg. He clearly does not agree to it, but thankfully for the two of them, Amarah does not catch on.

Ze always assumed that he did (because what else would sometimes wrap around his leg when Regect was standing close by) but he had never actually seen evidence for it. Perhaps that wasn’t to be examined too closely (what was wrapping around his leg all the time) when Regect had managed to disappear his shirt. And jacket.
