It had just been a simple joke. With Merlin’s limitless powers and the way the magical community treated him like a god, it only made sense that his spouse would fill in the accompanying role. Choosing the moniker ‘Goddess’ had been nothing more than a jest, like when Gwaine calls him a Princess. He hadn’t meant for it to become a thing. He especially hadn’t meant to suddenly be responsible for hosting magical balls and blessing magical ogre babies!
