Summary
“We wouldn’t have to tell the girls, and it wouldn’t be all the time. We could limit it to this room, just as needed. Just… for us.” Olruggio meets his gaze, letting the fire in his eyes melt into bashful tenderness. Qifrey sighs, taking a long pause to think.
“Not very watchful of you, hm?” Qifrey responds after a moment. Olruggio raises an eyebrow.
“Oh please,” Olly scoffs, gesturing to their home. “We’ve been grading each other’s homework for years. You know where my morals stand. I’m plenty watchful where it counts.”
---
After the events of Silver Eve, Qifrey makes the difficult decision to tell Olruggio and the girls his secret. His apprentices come up with many ways to keep him on edge and alert. Olruggio, too- although using slightly less… conventional methods.

Summary
[“Right,” Hakoda manages. “An honor.”
“Once we will endeavor to meet with equal honor in return,” the Fire Lord says so quickly he starts almost before Hakoda gets out the last syllable.
“Sure.” Hakoda has to forcibly unclench his teeth to grind out, “We’re happy to welcome the delegation.” As if they had any choice in it.
Fuck, but it would have been a lot easier to say no if the Fire Lord weren’t dating his son.]
Or,
Zuko is nervous about making a good impression on his first visit South as Fire Lord, which certainly has nothing to do with meeting Sokka’s father.
Sokka is excited to see his boyfriend after months apart, and is absolutely totally fine with not being involved in the week’s political negotiations. Totally.
Hakoda already has a headache just thinking about how exactly he’s supposed to interact with a fellow world leader who is also a teenager, and also dating his son, and wait--Sokka’s old enough for dating now? When did that happen?

Summary
A Fire Nation courier ship arrives in the Southern Water Tribe under a flag of surrender. Its passenger is Prince Zuko: wounded, chemically suppressed, disowned, and carrying proof that Ozai plans to destroy what remains of the South before Sozin’s Comet.
Zuko offers military intelligence, naval codes, and his claim to the throne in exchange for sanctuary. But Fire Nation law treats a royal omega’s defection as impossible, and any nation sheltering him will be branded an enemy.
An old Southern law offers protection: if Hakoda binds Zuko to his household, the prince will become kin rather than a captive.
The marriage is meant to be strategic. Hakoda promises safety and choice; Zuko intends to make himself useful. Neither expects Sokka to return home and find an enemy prince at his father’s side.
As winter closes around the South, political refuge becomes marriage, marriage becomes home, and three men must decide whether love can exist without possession—and whether family can take a shape none of them were taught to expect.

Summary
The water tribe siblings stand tall besides him, a stern look on their faces. They're dressed in black, no indication of their roots other than the small beads adorning their hair and the tan color of their skin.
“You're the Fire Prince, right?”.
His body clenches at the title. “Zuko”, he offers. “There's no fire prince”.
The girl’s face stiffens, but when the boy -Sokka, a memory from years ago resurfaces- speaks, his voice is softer. “Zuko”, he repeats the name, and it makes Zuko's fingers numbly tingle. He tells himself it's from the cold.
-Or, The Fire Nation loses the war before the Avatar’s return. Aang cannot restore balance without starting another one. Ergo, a blazing revolution.
