Summary
The USS Enterprise under the command of Captain Hiccup Haddock takes on a new First Officer, Commander Jack Frost.
Finding your place in a new crew can be difficult and Jack has to adjust quickly, since—in typical Star Trek fashion—space adventures and dangerous missions are lurking around every corner.
Surviving in deep space requires a lot of trust and understanding. Will this new team live up to the challenge?++++
This work is structured somewhat like a Star Trek TV show, so every chapter is a new "Episode", starting with the pilot.
Every episode has a complete narrative arc and can technically be read individually.
The characters will evolve throughout the show, of course. This is only the beginning.++++
Sisko:"But it doesn't work like that. Running may help, for a little while. But sooner or later the pain catches up to you. And the only way to get rid of it, is to stand your ground and face it."
Worf: "But wearing that uniform must remind you of what you've lost!"
Sisko: "Sometimes. But it also reminds me of what I've gained, and who I am."

as someone who knows nothing about star trek i can confidently say that you don’t need to have watched a single piece of star trek media to understand what’s going on. it can be hard to find a good balance for the readers who already know all the lore and those who are just getting into it, but our dear author here smashed it out of the park, it’s actually mind blowing.
do not let the word count scare you like it scared me. you can tell everything is crafted with care with how much consideration there is for the small lore tidbits, and how much is shared with the readers throughout the entire fic. i love learning about the world along with the characters 🥰🥰
and ofc it isn’t a santathegrey fic if it doesn’t have a bit of his character in there 🤭 gotta love when i can tell something is written by a specific human being.
anyway go read this, you'll have a great time and probably also scream and cry, and maybe even need a cigarette or two in your breaks bc i certainly did (don’t smoke kids pls it’s bad for your health)

Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

i. i don't know what to say. i swear this is more than just a masterpiece, i'm so in awe??????? some friends opened my eyes to hijack, i watched their movies, i read this, and now i don't know what to do with myself. it's so phenomenal, absolutely showstopping and just overall heart wrenching 😭😭💗💗 what a ride, i don't think i'll ever read/watch something with so much plot that come together so flawlessly in the end... idc if you don't like hijack, read this anyway! you won't be able to leave the second you've started
