Meant To Be Mine

Summary:

Toya Returns after 10 years to find his feelings for Shoto haven't dwindled at all, and seemingly neither have the Alpha's.

Unfortunately, Shoto seems to have no knowledge of /why/ he likes Toya so much. He barely even remembers him at all.

Toya's in for a few rough nights ahead.

Notes:

this isn't beta read, so I'm terribly sorry for any mistakes I've made. Please enjoy anyways!

I also forgot to clerify, this is a Quirkless AU, Toya is not crispy, he has fluffy white hair and a pear shaped body.

Chapter 1: Collecting the Omega.

Chapter Text

It was a more than 10 year reunion in the making. Toya was 26. Shoto just turned 18 earlier that year. He’d also just graduated from an elite co-gendered high school as well, Yuuei. He doesn’t remember why his eldest sibling was sent away, he was so young. He barely remembers him at all. Yet Shoto is the one who’s supposed to pick him up from the airport and take him to his hotel. Their hotel.

Shoto needed a break from his family before he told them he was going away to college. A college they surely wouldn’t approve of. He needed to gather his thoughts and he couldn’t do that with Enji breathing down his neck and Rei trying to coddle him.

He was the baby sure, but he was still an Alpha.

So when he asked Toya if they could share a hotel room for the week Toya stayed, Toya didn’t seem to mind. Maybe Shoto should’ve worried about how smoothly that interaction went but it didn’t even cross his mind at the time.

Picking him up from the airport went smoothly, the plane was on time, no complications with Toya’s luggage. He seems Shorter than Shoto remembers, though. Or maybe it’s just that Shoto shot up like a rocket in the past ten years. From a tiny little 8 year old at 142cms to almost 185cms. Toya’s smaller 178cms stature was something Shoto’s alpha side really liked.

And his smell, his unmarked scent glands… every glance Toya gave sent shivers down Shoto’s spine. Maybe staying in the same hotel room wasn’t a good idea after all.

Shoto knew it was a bad idea when they arrived at their reserved hotel and problem after problem occurred. First they couldn’t find Toya’s reservation, when he’d already paid, then they tried to send him away just because he was an omega.

So when Shoto stepped up and placed his hand on Toya’s back and glared down the man behind the counter, asking “Is there a problem with our reservation?” the beta shriveled.

From anyone else Toya would’ve hated this gesture, shoved the Alpha off of him, maybe even turned around and bitten into their arm. Sure he went to one of the world’s best finishing schools. But that doesn’t mean he was a perfect omega- docile and sweet.

He had piercings and tattoos, the way he carried himself and dressed was for him to choose. He wouldn’t be led around by any Alpha.

“I-It’s not in our books, Sir, b-but I can have a room ready for you both in under an hour, please forgive us!”

Shoto gave a fake smile to the man and led Toya away, keeping his hand on his lower back the entire way across the lobby, letting out a sigh as they stood near a large glass wall that overlooked an indoor greenhouse.

“What was that?”

Glancing down he can see the smirk on his elder brother’s lips, familial turquoise eyes purposefully not meeting his own. “They were going to throw you out, you were going to lose money, and there is no way either of us want to be stuck at dad’s place for any significant length of time.”

Toya just chuckles, crossing his arms over his chest, finally looking up to meet Shoto's gaze. “And your hand still touching me?”

The Alpha’s cheeks heat up and he yanks his hand back as if he’s been burned. “I-... I ah, well-”

Toya bursts out laughing “You’re still cute. Glad that hasn’t changed.”

Shoto blushes to the tips of his ears, looking off to the side with puffed cheeks. Definitely a bad idea.

----

Shoto carries his and Toya’s suitcases up to their room only to find Toya pacing nervously outside the door, as if something is very much wrong. “Are you alright?”

“Huh? Oh...Yeah, I-... well, everything is fine…” His tone betrays him, as does his scent. Even through thick sterile scented patches the smell of distress is evident.

Shoto isn’t convinced, “What’s going on?”

Toya looks at his brother and puffs out one of his cheeks with a frown. He’s glad Shoto cares enough to pry, he really does. But something the Finishing school drilled into his head was ‘do not complain to your Alpha and-’ woah, slow down. Toya’s cheeks go red at what his brain just tried to imply. Shoto being his Alpha.

They’d been separated for ten years. Why does his omega still remember...

“There is only one bed. Not only that they haven’t been pumping scent neutralizer into the room at all so it fucking reeks of other people in there, It’s uncomfortable.” Toya blurts out all at once, crossing his arms and squeezing himself, as if to give comfort. The gesture makes him look smaller though, his already lithe torso looks so tiny, so huggable. Shoto wants to pull him close and scent him. Cover him in a comforting smell. He has the feeling that’s probably not the best idea though.

“I’ll go in and check if the neutralizer pump is in the room, and if it’s not, I'll tell them to turn it on, why don’t you go get lunch or something?”

Both their stomachs growl at the mention of food. “Alright… I’ll go get food while you get things sorted here. But I swear to god if you go through my suitcase I’ll kick your ass, Shoto. Don’t test me.” he jabs his finger into his little brother’s chest, glaring up at him.

“I won't, I swear!” he chuckles softly, putting his hands up in defense, laughing a little bit. After a scrutinizing gaze and a shared smile they go their separate ways.

Shoto checks over the room and boy, was Toya right not to want to be in here. It reeks of multiple Alphas that were all drunk and fighting if the scent is anything to go by.  He sighs softly and looks around the room, no neutralizer pump. He’s going to have to go back down to the front desk, and he’s already decided if he gets the same beta, he doesn’t plan to be nice.
